Chronology
A Chronology is a simple document used to list key dates during the marriage, a chronology is to give the judge a brief outline of the details that the judge may need. The aim of a chronology is to give a summary which focuses on the history and significant events of your case.
Key dates may include such things as –
- Dates of birth of parties involved and any children
- Start of Cohabitation (when you started living together)
- Date of marriage
- Date of separation
- Date of the divorce petition
- Dates of any property purchases
- Receipts of inheritance
- Date that form A was filed
- Date of decree nisi
- Date that form E was filed
- First directions appointment
Add other dates for hearings/other relevant dates if they happen.
