A former finance director who stole more than £500,000 to fund his wife's lavish lifestyle has been sentenced to four years in jail. Andrew Wetherall, 49, of Christchurch Close, St Albans, Herts, admitted false accounting and fraud, at London's Southwark Crown Court.

Couple Divorce over Husbands Desire For Gender Reassignment

A Surrey couple have been forced into a divorce after wife Catherine Everett claimed that her husband's behaviour resulted in the break down of their marriage. Ms Everett admitted feeling "used" when she discovered her husband had been a transsvestite prior to their relationship which began back in the 1990's and had not given upon his secret desire to be a woman.

More couples signing pre-nuptials

Family lawyers say they have seen a tenfold increase in recent years in couples signing pre-nuptial agreements on dividing their assets after divorce. Resolution, a group of 5,700 lawyers, says the number has doubled in a year, a BBC Breakfast investigation found.
