With the change in weather comes a change in your skin. You may have noticed that your summer glow is fast fading as we welcome in most needed central heating. Your skin needs a lot more care now if you want to stay looking fresh and healthy even when you get a chill.
Cold weather and central heating causes skin to dry out so hot on the feet of Mr Frost we are here to give you the top tips to keep your skin looking summer fresh.
Water- we know you’ve heard it before but water is a must, the recommended 6-8 glasses a day is a good guideline to work from. Try not to drink to much caffeine or alcohol in the upcoming cold months. It may be difficult to choose water over a nice warming coffee or glass of wine but it keeps your skin looking fresh
Exfoliating-once a week, make sure you don’t over do it. We recommend Soap & Glory exfoliating gloves for £4.89.
Moisturise-a change to a more intensifying moisturizer is a must. Even if you don’t have much time in the morning after your shower the most important thing to do is moisturise your whole body.
Hands- dry hands look aged, that’s just a fact. So to keep hands well moisturised invest in a pair of night gloves. Soak hands in hand cream (Nivea Nourishing Hand Cream- £3.35) or moisturiser and then put on a pair of cotton gloves (available from Boots for £2.49) overnight then wake up to wonderfully soft and smooth hands.
Lips-we all know how painful chapped lips can be so make sure you always have an intense lip balm in your bag (Nivea SOS lip balm £3.28)
Cleansing- another age old tip, but you may not know that in the winter you can over cleanse which is awful for your skin and can actually dry it out. Make sure you only cleanse once a day.
