Keep you Clothes and Hat On!

Keep you Clothes and Hat On!

Wonderful Scottish Sayings - Ne’er cast a Cloot. It's an old Scottish saying 'Ne'er cast a cloot till May is oot' - roughly translated this means don't take your clothes off until May is finished. Why would we want to heed this in the context of relationships?

For two reasons - one when will you decide to disrobe with someone and second when will you allow unprotected sex. So, bear in mind that just because the sun has started shining and the grass is growing - it doesn't mean that the spring showers and chilly nights have gone. It doesn't mean that all is rosy ... yet.

The advice about not casting a cloot for relationships means - wait till you really know someone and what you really feel about them for sure before you start taking your clothes off - otherwise you just might be in for a bit of a rude awakening. If you choose to have sex for the fun of it then that's a choice you alone must make.

Unprotected sex has become an area of concern for many 30+ singles. Just because someone has come out of a long term relationship does not mean that they have a clean bill of sexual health. Just because you have reached whatever age you are, does not mean that you have a clean bill of health either. For the month of March to be out in a sexual relationship and for condoms to be dispensed with, you will both want to be absolutely certain of yourself and your partner. The best way to achieve this is by attending your local GUM (genitourinarymedicine) clinic - this can be done completely anonymously and will give both you and your partner the confidence to enjoy your spring and summer season together!

PS You might also remember that age does not give any certainty about a woman's ability to have children.
