Need some advise, going through divorce, married 22 years, together 27 years, he earns 55k, I earn 15k, we have a child with autism who attends special needs school 35 mins drive away, I work part time around school hours, house worth 235k, then dec last year he has a heart attack, we have 2 critical illness policies, hes.now working full time, one Policy is his one joint both worth £165k, he has pensions worth 450k, mine 74k, my child may never work or leave home to early to tell. What kind of settlement could I hope to get? Been told to disregard critical illness policies as its his money. Not happy about that. I should I wait until he's claimed in both policies which for now he's only claimed on his still awaiting payout. Been told our joint policy we both have to agree where any money would be paid. Thoughts please. Thanks
