You may have noticed that at Wikivorce socialising off the site aswell as on becomes a possibility with the Wiki events. Anyone can organise an event and here's how...
If you want to organise your own event then scroll along to the "Community" icon on the top menu, you will then see more icons drop down from this. Follow the menu along to the end where you will see an icon headed "Events." Click on this icon and it will take you to a list of upcoming events. At the top of this list is "Create a new event," click onto this and an easy to fill out form will appear for you to set up your new event.
