Have you received a proposed Consent Order from your spouse's solicitor? This service is for people who have reached an agreement with their ex on a fair financial settlement and who wish to get the Consent Order document checked before they sign it.
Consent Orders are legal documents and may contain legal terminology which has a certain meaning which is not clear or obvious to the person who is being asked to sign the document.
This Consent Order Advice service is a phone consultation with a family lawyer who can advise on the structure, content and legal terminology in the document.
The lawyer will not advise on the fairness or otherwise of the agreement. They will not be evaluating or giving any opinion on whether the settlement is fair or on whether you may be entitled to any additional financial claims.
It is assumed that you have already taken legal advice at an earlier stage on the fairness of the settlement - or that you have decided that you do not want legal advice on a fair settlement.
