2nd Xmas After the Split

R Updated
Happy 2015! Xmas is a strange time for those in or out of the divorce process. Lots of Ghosts of Christmas Past! Last year was worse..as it was the first one but this year was hard in its own way. In the interim...my Dad died and my youngest daughter moved back to live with her Mum after 6 years with me and my ex (her step-mum). In June it all happened so the year changed dramatically....followed by two Court appearances contesting the financial split of assets and finally the Decree Absolute in October! I had a new 'friend' staying at Xmas as she had no where else to go but it was not a good move in hindsight. Not only was I ill over the holiday with a 'manflu' bug but my daughter had come back to visit and said lady friend felt very unwanted... I guess I wouldn't have offreed her a place to stay if she had plans of her own but she is a live in carer and has no fixed address really of her own and I felt sorry for her... I always end up making 'things' worse by trying to be nice!! Guess my resolution in 2015 would be to prioritise myself more this year, actually easier now the 13 year old is out of the picture (250 miles away!). Anyway, i've taken over running a busy photography Meet Up group in london which keeps me committed to a social and creative life (and led to an exhibition of work at the end of 2014!!). Onwards!! Upwards! It does feel good to know no more lawyers or court!! It does feel bad to know I lost all my life savings fighting the case!! Cheers
