Variation

Further application by a party to have an existing order altered in some way.

Vexatious Litigant

One who brings litigation without merit merely to vex or harass the respondent.

 

Visiting Contact

Contact in which the child is able to visit the non-resident parent during the day but does not stay overnight.

Voice of the Child

Degree to which the wishes and feelings of the child are represented to the Court and influence its decision.

Void Marriage

Marriage in which the parties were not eligible to marry in the first place.

Voidable Marriage

Marriage which can be voided because one of the parties was married against their will or under false pretences.
