Order from FDR says "The applicant and respondent shall provide comprehensive updating disclosure...."

Silly question - would this be to his solicitor alone, or also to court via email?

Also, it says "Each party shall serve by way of exchange concise narrative statements addressing section 25 factors...". I'm assuming this is just to his solicitor and not the court?

We are yet to make any open offers. Is this a requirement?

I am LiP but have a barrister for the 3-day final hearing. He has a solicitor and a barrister.

Thank you!

WOW! three day FH next week!!

Basically if the court wants something it will say to 'file' it and if it wants you to provide it to the other side t will say to 'serve' it. So just follow the court directions word for word. The Order would set out the terms on which the open offers are to be made.

I assume you will receive a bundle prepared from the other side in a few days. Be sure to go through it thoroughly, paying attention to the fact that everything you will need to rely on is in it and where it can be found. Make sure you make this available to your barrister as soon as possible so that they can begin prep for the case. Do you have a conference arranged with the barrister ahead of the hearing? It might be worth seeking some advice from the barrister on what your open position should be.

All the best of luck and do come back and let us know how you get on ;)
B xx

Thanks, Bubblegum. It's reassuring to know I'm doing the right thing.

As has been the case throughout the proceedings, I have served and filed all that was asked, and haven't received a thing from them.

Great idea to arrange a conference with my barrister. Will get on to it now!

I'll be sure to come back with an update on outcome. It's all so nerve-wrecking!

Thanks again for all your help.

Hi All,
Just to clarify-this conference with Barrister- should it be held before the date of Final hearing?
Or, on the hour before the Final hearing?
Please do guide me?
Many, thanks,
Namratha.

Sorry just spotted this. It's good to meet/speak to your barrister before the hearing, not just an hour before.

Hi Friends,
I am in a dilemma again, and need words of wisdom from you all:
this is how it stands: Final hearing is in 4 weeks, I made an offer to Ex, by direct telephone conversation,-
Wanted 2 days for counter offer,
But e-mail of counter offer received.tho not favourable, atleast, I now have an idea, of what the, Ex is expecting.
Do I tell my solicitor of this,(as solicitor is wanting to make an offer, Without prejudice, to the Ex, before updating the Bundle?
Or should I just forward the e-mail,[from Ex], to my solicitor?
All help is appreciated :(, Please,
Namratha.

Yes, send it to your solicitor as soon as possible.

If you have a solicitor why would you not keep them apprised of all developments? They are acting in your best interests.
