I'm sorry to hear this, Moona. Sometimes it seems as the down days are relentless and come at you like an onslaught :(

Have you tried calling the Breathing Space helpline? Breathing Space are a support organisation aimed at helping and supporting men living in Scotland who are experiencing emotional issues, you can visit thier website here - breathingspace.scot/

Try to do something kind for yourself today - a short walk, a tasty meal, something that will help lift your mood and take you away from your usual routine. These feelings of despair and helplessness won't last forever so know that this is a temporary state, and things will improve bit by bit :)

Just not sure how to get out of this today. Sometimes it feels so bad and like I am back at square one.

It is the feeling "what am I going to do with my life" - at times like this it feels like being in a pit of sadness and despair.

I am OK most of the time but today and just crap.

Hi Moona50, yes these days can just jump out on you from nowhere.
We seem as if we are going forward then bam straight into a brick wall
But it will pass. They come and go, then hopefully go for longer periods.
Just keep posting. Make friends on wiki, it has been my saviour.
I hope you feel better soon, let us know.

Morning folks,

I feel dreadful today. I feel just hopeless.

Maybe its time to ask the doctor for something.

Morning Moona, although it's clearly not a good one for you. Sorry to read you're feeling so low.

Feelings of loss on divorce can be very intense and it’s common to feel a sense of hopelessness or just to feel devoid of all feeling.

If you’re feeling you may need help to get through this then it is vital that you do seek support sooner rather than later. It is really important that we recognise our feelings and act on them if we sense that we are struggling to cope. Too often we think it’s a sign of weakness to ask for help, but it’s just being sensible to take care of ourselves.

Reaching out for help is sometimes the hardest step if you are the type of person who has always been in charge of your emotions. However, divorce often puts us in a situation when our emotions are out of our control, so please do seek some support. Your GP should be able to refer you for some counselling which can help you work through your feelings. You can’t expect to see immediate results but hopefully you will slowly start to see a light at the end of the tunnel and see a way forward.

Of course stay in touch with wiki and people will support you from afar.
