What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I'm angry about both the address being changed and the fact that he / she has accessed my personal bank details. He may have a right to them during the divorce procedings, but that would be with my permission and via my solicitor.
This is a breach in my personal data and if she has deliberately pretended to be me to get the address changed then I will take legal action against her.
I'm sorry - but cannot take your relaxed attitude. I feel violated and angry. But I am not going in all all guns blazing, I am taking my time to gather the facts. It could be a total error on the banks part.
However I'm sure my husband will have known that my statements went to her address, so he could have mentioned it sooner. It makes me think he has something to hide.

Hi Daisy,

Yep, went to the bank. Told them that they have made several errors and that I will be seeking compensation from them. Their complaints team haven't responded within 5 days, which is an FSA breach. They have contributed to a breach of my personal data. They made changes on a frozen account, of which I am the primary account holder. Etc. etc.

After that they couldn't do enough to help. Both manager and personal banker were retrieved from their lunch break. Big note placed on the system saying that no changes were to be made without my authority. Another email sent to their complaints team asking for urgent reply and details sent to their fraud dept.
So now I'm waiting for the bank to investigate and let me know whether this has been a total bank error or whether Husband & mistress have set out to defraud me.
I'll decide whether or not to pursue it legally once I know more from bank.
Once it's sorted though i'll be moving my accounts from Barclays!!!
S xx

No she doesn't work for bank, thank God. I don't think she can access my accounts now, especially as the bank have put notes on every account, mine and our joint one, saying that no changes are to be made without my knowledge.
I will go to the police if the bank find that she signed on my behalf. However if it was just a bank error - I'm going after compensation - every little helps towards solicitors costs and I'm bloody sure barclays can afford it.
