Strangely enough , sleep is about the only thing I can do lately . I crave it's blisfull release ,the entry into the private world ,the only place where light truly exists .
Anyone who has problems sleeing ,may I recommend "sleepy bear" tea ,from "Celestial seasonings " .
It seems to work for me , on the rare occasions I can't sleep .

In sleep , the bad people can't get me

Yes, I'll go along with that. Luckily, I sleep generally well (there is the odd night which is restless and uncomfortable, though).

It's really all I have to look forward to each day - the following night's sleep - how sad is that?

It is a blessed release from the unrelenting daily worry of what I have to face. Waking up is hell, though, as the anaesthesia of sleep wears off, the brain goes into overdrive, the guts gripe and churn, and that's the way it is for most of the day. Not good.

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face. you are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing
that comes along.'" -Eleanor Roosevelt

Hi,

If it's of any help, I use capsules called "SleepAids" when I really can't sleep.
You get them from the States (where they are over the counter) on the Internet.
About £10 for 90 and you only use one.

They don't "knock you out" or anything like barbiturates etc or other "heavy" presciption only meds.

They are actually an old-fashioned anti-hystamine, (anti hay fever) which went out of favour as it made the users feel drowsy.
They are non-addictive and you can't overdose on them to top yourself and if anything would probably just make you feel very very ill if you tried.

Lasts about 6-8 hours, so take before 10pm otherwise you might feel a bit groggy in the morning.

The same ingredient (Diphenhydramine) is in Nytol or cheaper generic brands availabe here over the counter. (ask your Pharmacist)

I have had no probs with it anyway and have been using maybe 2 or 3 times a week in the last 6 months.

Edit: Like scaryclairie, when used in combination with BBC Radio 4 or the World Service works a treat. lol
