What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

I would love to settle I don''t want the mother of my children to be punished...how do phase please settle and don''t make me bring this in front of the judge without it sounding like bribery? Or s threat?

How do I bring it in front of the judge, ? What am I asking for? Because if I did this they would be asking for prison etc etc. I just want the truth but not sure the judge can order that?

The other party has full legal aid (obtained before rules changed) would this get rid of her legal aid? As her solicitors are very aggressive and want more sm then I earn and I believe without them filling her head with fantasy she may finally negotiate

Based on my experience it will depend on whether the judge is interested in your claims or not, or whether the forging supports their decisions. To play devil''s advocate - who is to say that the letters supporting your claims are not fake? Remember no one gets done for perjury in the family courts, no one gets sent to jail, all those stern sounding warnings on the documents are all just talk, the outcome will depend solely on the judge on the day unfortunately. So, play it with a straight bat, disclose all your documents to the other side and court, and cross your fingers.

As Unctuous said, it''s helpful to your case but not (in my view) necessarily a trump card.
