... "The person you divorce is not the person you married"

How often have we heard that one? We have been contacted by a journalist writing a piece for a Sunday magazine about how and why behaviour can become quite unrecognisable and unreasonable during divorce proceedings – especially when it is coming from the person who has chosen to ‘leave’ the marriage.

She is looking for for anonymous cases studies – anyone who has been through a difficult divorce where they were shocked by their ex-spouses behaviour… Contributors would not been identified and obvious identifying details will be changed too!

If you would like to make any observations on this subject please post them on this thread. If you would be prepared to be contacted for interview, please let me know - either by PM - or say so in your post and I will PM you.

Responses needed ASAP please!!

hey hadenoughnow

I'll admit I'm very friendly with my stbx and you know what, he is actually a nice guy now, maybe I didn't see it when we were married, infact were both going to the lakes this weekend and spending time together. It might sound strange but we both feel very comfortable with it all.

Our nisi has come through and we'll be divorced by September but I will carry on my friendship with him for eternity!!!!!

My "lovely" ex - all he wanted was a happy family life - now has all his holiday planned with his girlfriend and no time for 11 year old son. Tells son girlfriend payed for his holiday abroad for 2 weeks (even though she is single mum of 2 boys!). Mid life crisis or what - bought car off ebay, leather jacket, a grey haired man in young boy's clothes - how sad.

I'm happy to contribute. I certainly don't recognise the man I married any more (very sad for our son).
