BBC Documentary: Young women and divorce

The BBC is looking for a woman in her 20s to take part in a sensitive documentary about young people and divorce. They are looking for someone who is going through or is about to go through a reasonably amicable divorce, and who would be interested in allowing the BBC to follow them as they go through this life-changing experience.

If you would like to think about volunteering for this, please PM Hadenoughnow in the first instance with your contact details and a very brief outline of your situation.

Many thanks

Hi Had,

"They are looking for someone who is going through or is about to go through a reasonably amicable divorce"

Needle in a haystack springs to mind!

OK, just had to look this up. Average age for women to marry in UK 28.2 years. Average length of marriage 12 years average age of divorce (woman) 40.2 years. Well at least their math works. Except in northern ireland where the average length of marriage is over 16 years and they don't get divorced until 60. I think they do addition differently there.

Not a chance Tinny, I have Irish roots!

I think the point they are trying to make is that in Ireland (both flavours) people stick to marriage longer than in the England and Wales with Scotland somewhere in between.

I s'pose its the Catholic influence, or lack of choice, tehehehe.
