What are we each entitled to in our divorce settlement?

What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Hi
I have my first court appearance next week -for which i am the Applicant.
Along with the notice of application hearing - I have received a D11 application notice from my ex's solicitor
Stating the solicitor has applied for -That permission is given for an SJE pension actuary to be appointed to prepare a pension sharing report.

I am not in disagreement with an actuary report -what i am not agreeing too is her suggestion of many different scenerio reports / whilst i am requesting equality in retirement

It is ordered by consent that i have to have all the solicitors different scenerios requests.

Is this a standard request for a pension sharing actuary report?

Can i object or do i have to go along with it?
Many thanks

There is no standard request - it depends upon your circumstances and how parity it to be achieved when viewed in conjunction with other assets.

The point of a joint report is that both parties are providing joint instruction which means that both parties have to agree instructions. If you don't agree, you should say so.
