What does the law say about how to split the house, how to share pensions and other assets, and how much maintenance is payable.

What steps can we take to reach a fair agreement?

The four basic steps to reaching an agreement on divorce finances are: disclosure, getting advice, negotiating and implementing a Consent Order.

What is a Consent Order and why do we need one?

A Consent Order is a legally binding document that finalises a divorcing couple's agreement on property, pensions and other assets.

Sorry to be blunt herewego but I think your bloke is weak. Just like I used to be. But I managed to break away. He could too.

In all this where are you? Can you wait forever?

Forgive me I am going to be rude. You said you showed him a great time and I presume that he had something with you and why did he go back to her? Why? I dont doubt that you pushed all his buttons. Ok this is just me so take with a pinch. I have met someone. She is all that I need and more. Now I wouldnt dream of going back. Apart from my partner disowning me, my sister would too and she has been my rock. But hey we are all different.

I had my chance though. I wobbled if that is the right word. It was June 2006 and a month after the undying love decleration at the kitchen table. She was having doubts about him and faced with the choice of having her back I just couldnt. Thing is that when they do nasty things to you it fataly damages the relationship. I would have thought that your blokes relationship was beyond repair. Somethings just cant be patched up. Sometimes its better to just move on to better things. I just dont understand your bloke. Chris.
