Help appreciated

I am putting 2 assets into calculator

marital home - wife’s name ( although questionable as it was bought before marriage of only 2 years !) but thought I’d do worse case scenario
other property - wife’s name

The calculator shows all the other results but that assets show as zero for wife and husband ?

any ideas?

It is probably treating the assets as non matrimonial. The calculator is a bit of a blunt instrument. You may be better off sharing details in the forum for some human assistance ?

Thanks for your reply .

I am not sure if they are matrimonial or not . Depends which lawyer I speak to.

I think that's the problem with trying to make predictions. The answer to most questions relating to financial matters on divorce is 'it depends'.

What the outcome depends on mostly is your respective needs and the means you have between you to meet them.

In a very short marriage with no children to consider the usual rule of thumb is that you each take out what you put in and share any profits (or debts) equally between you. Remember when you have lived together before you married the whole length of the relationship is counted.
