Please could someone give me advice on the above.
My " Consent Order" states that spousal maintenance should end on ex''s retirement . No age or year given.....if he decides to retire early ,as he can afford to , is he obliged to give me any notice or does he need to prove to the court that he has left employment to retire, or can he just stop paying?

As my ex had a self invested pension... I got half of that...the changes to the pension laws will help me otherwise I would have not been able to look after myself finAncially. I will not get any state pension as I did not work full time . I arrived in the country about 20 years ago. I am trying to make up my tax credits so I will get something..i The new tax laws have changed since our consent order . I should have got £45 per week on the old scheme...with the new one I do not get anything..a bit scarey.

I don''t know how old you are but will the pension not kick in (your share) once spousal maintenance stops. Assuming you are a similar age to your husband.

We are both 59... As the pension is self invested I will have to draw it down to live on it and it will last me for only 15 years or so if I am lucky.the longer I can put off using it the better.
