Hello!

I wondered if anyone on Wikivorce had tried selling off the wedding dress or similar in order to pay for the divorce? Apparently Americans are using Ebay to cover legal costs, and I am researching whether the same thing is happening here in the UK?

Didnt bother selling mine - it only cost £75! I handed mine into a local charity shop, hopefully someone somewhere has had a good night out in it (wasnt a real wedding dress, but an evening dress from a high street shop - the ex choose it...............)

I had great pleasure in getting the scissors to mine recently. Would not have wanted anyone else to wear it.

To be honest, my first wedding dress, I lent to someone called Florence, (not Nightingale, not that old) and what happened to it after that I cannot remember:blush: Ain't got a clue.

It might be considered as a retro now. High neck, hugh mutton of lamp sleeves, long cuff from the elbow, god sounds horrid:(

Hi all

Just to mention that Oxfam have special bridal shops now where they sell second hand wedding dresses. They will happily take any wedding clothes and accessories of your hands!

You can check on their website for one in your area.

As far as selling on ebay is concerned - I didn't try to sell my dress on there but did look into selling the shoes. There were many many shoes for sale on there, most weren't selling, so I didn't bother. I gave them away too.
