Im just preparing to ask my husband of 17 years (partner of 20) for a divorce. We earn almost the same. I bring home £400 a month more than him because he has to put over £200 a month into the Police Pension and puts another £65 in police savings. In 5 years he;ll get at least £80k plus the annual pension. My pension in full at the moment is only worth £60k after paying into it for 20 years.

What should i ask for without seeming too greedy? I want it off set - so he keeps the pension but I get . Please help

Because the pension is a final salary uniformed service pension first it needs to be valued, the best and most informed valuation can be done by an actuary, as for how best it can be used for offsetting against other marital assets much more information is needed before peeps can advise.
