I tried out the calculator and I accept there will be slight inaccuracies. So i tried it with wife and husband income the same and the husband got 60% of the assets

When i put in wife has 0 income as she has no job and i put in some income it ends up with the follwing for 25 years; no children to take care of as one is 22 years old and the other is 19 years old

Wife's share: 70%
Husband's share: 30%

this is frightening why isnt it more 50:50?

Did you enter the children in the calculator?

If you did - take them out and see what difference that makes.

I did not include any children. 22 year has a job and will get her own place and 18 year will be off to uni. So its just me and her.

I find the calculator really scary. It really seems to favour my wife and I would be reduced to poverty if I had to follow what it said.
